Careers in Finance and the Capital Markets have traditionally been dominated by men. However, I believe the industry could benefit tremendously from greater gender diversity. As such, I am pleased to announce that FINCAD’s 2017 Women in Finance Scholarship is now open and accepting applications.
Currently in its third year, the goal of the program is to encourage outstanding women in the field of finance, particularly those pursuing careers in the capital markets and/or financial risk management. The reality is that for too long there has been a gender imbalance in the industry. With our scholarship program, we hope to do our part in helping level the playing field by providing a qualified woman with a vote of confidence and an opportunity to advance her skills and knowledge in this field.
The FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Program offers an award of US$10,000 to support graduate-level studies to one recipient each calendar year. This program is open to all women who are studying Finance in a graduate-level program at an accredited institution.
